Yesterday I went to the great place called Peru. when I first got there I went to Cusco .Cusco is in the southern part of Peru. Cusco is often called Cuzco sometimes. It is located near the Andes mountain range. The city has a populations of 435,114. Cusco was the site of historical capital of the Inca empire. When I got there I took some amazing photos. There were lots of people there. and that's just one thing I did on my trip to Peru.

Then later I went to Qhapaq Nan. Qhapaq Nan means the great road. it was built during the fifteenth century as part of a major political, military, and ideological system. The network of road allows access and movement of goods. The road is really long and made up of bricks. And that was another fascinating thing I did during my trip to Peru.

The last thing I visited in Peru was Huascaran National park. The park had so many fascinating animals like deer, pumas, and the Andes fox. It is the second highest park in South America. There were so many interesting things to do in Peru someday if you ever go there you should go to all those tourist attractions.

Today I just got back from Uruguay. It was awesome! First I went to the city of Punta Del Este where I swam in the deep, blue, cold ocean. Then  I rode my bike through the streets and had a close call with the police. Apparently, I had scared a child because I rode through an alleyway. Then the kid had called the police. They said that I would have to stop riding my bike because of traffic. But I said "No," and ran for it. I got to my bike and then biked out of the city with the cops on my tail. I finally lost them as I rode into Montevideo.

Montevideo was packed but lovely. I parked my bike in an alley and went into a art museum. They had such cool art. I especially loved how much American art there was. After about an hour, I walked to a restaurant and had lunch. It was really good! I asked someone what I had ordered. They said it was called an empanada. It was stuffed with beef and cheese. After lunch, I saw a police car roaming and asking if they had seen me. Luckily, I got on my bike before they saw me. Then, I rode back to the airport and got a flight. And that ends my adventure in Uruguay.

 Museo Nacional del Banco Central

When I went to Ecuador the first place I went to visit was the Museo Nacional del banco Central. It was a central bank museum, when I got there it was amazing, I hadn't even gone in yet and I knew that just form the looks of the outside of it, it was going to be amazing because it was it was so amazing just from looking from the outside. When I went in there were ton of people! When I was there, there were many golden statues. Then there were some that looked like they were made of clay, it reminded me of something that the Native Americans would do in America.

Another place I went to was Montanita, here was a beach/shoreline it was amazing, it was like Hawaii's water, so clean and clear. I went swimming the water as really warm I loved it! There were many people so It was awesome to see what they could do on a surf board. There were umbrellas that were just like Hawaii"s umbrellas, but over all it was amazing!

Lastly I went to Poker Refugees, a massive could snowy volcano.  I didn't go all the way to the top but still it was so flippin cold, I was so cold that not even my snowboard clothes would keep me warm, but still it was amazing to see how big it was! In conclusion Ecuador is an amazing place and I recommend that you visit this amazing cool place!

Chile is one of the most active places to be if you want to relax, have adventure, or enjoy the city. I'm a animal person and let me tell you, the plants and animals even nature its self was so beautiful. I was at my hotel that was right on the waterside and I woke up so early that I got to see the sun rise over the ocean. My friend had rented a boat, on the coast of San Antonia, the day we got there and as we went out the ocean had become my home. The whales were so graceful that I wished that they came closer.

In the city of Temuco were I got my first taste of the food, and it was so amazing that I wanted to eat it all day. Unfortunately I yet to recall what the dish was called. Anyway we went our hotel and the people here didn't know the definition of sleep, but that's just how they are. When the boys were out hiking on , I got a chase to feel the relaxing pool( that no one was in).

Before I went to Valparaiso, we went scuba diving and seals were not afraid to get close and see what we were doing. The tropical fish made it feel that they were welcoming me too the home and reef. Speaking of reef, the reef sharks didn't come close (Thank goodness)!!! Although the water was mostly clamed by the seaport, and the town is cramped all together, we did find a beach to go off and scuba.

litoral01-gr.jpg     I recently visited Venezuela.  One of the coolest attractions there was Angel Falls.  I have always heard about the waterfall but I have never seen it in person until now.  The fall are the biggest in the world.  The tour guide told me before we got there that it is the most popular place in the country.  When we arrived at the falls, I wasn't surprised.  The falls were huge and so loud.  I could barely see the top.  When the tour of the falls was over, I didn't want to go because I felt like I could stay there forever.

While I was at Venezuela, I also went to the Orinoco Delta.  I have never head of the place but some of my friends told me to go here.  When I arrived there we saw a huge rive that went out into many other rivers.  The tour guide told us to get into a small boat.  The man took us to all the different rivers.  It was so cool.  We even saw some wildlife like catfish and crocodiles.

One of the other places I went to was Los Roques Archipelago National Park.  The park was a very nice beach on the coast of Venezuela.  I remember hearing about this place on the internet.  I decided to go snorkeling. I saw the most amazing fish.  Snorkeling was cool, but I decided to try scuba-diving.  I saw the coolest coral reefs and even better fish than snorkeling.  This trip was one of my favorite vacations I have ever been on!

litoral01-gr.jpg                                 During my "visit" to Peru I traveled to 3 places. I went to the Monastario de Santa Catalina, a mountain named Hachu Pichu, and the Islas Uros. First I will tell you about the Monastery. The monastery was a very exciting place to go to. I got a tour by one of the residents there. It was really cool there was a lot of art and sculptures. They had carvings and writings of the gods they worshiped there. It also had bedrooms, a kitchen, and an art room that were all made of stone.

The second place I visited was Machu Pichu which is a mountain in Peru. I hiked up there on the third day I was there. When I was hiking I came across a group of lizards making a home by some rocks on the side of the rushing river I was by. I also saw lots of green lush vegetation there. When I reached the top of the mountain I had an excellent view of the land. When I was hiking down it was really wet and I slipped and hit my hand on a branch. But other than that I was okay.

The last place I visited was the Islas Uros which, by the way, are some islands right off the coast of Peru. What is cool about these islands is that they were formed almost out of nothing.

I just got back from my trip to Colombia was so amazing. I visited three places in Columbia. The first place I went to was Medellin did you guess know its "the city of eternal spring" It was so beautiful I met so many people like there was a man named Billy who gave out flowers and they were so beautiful. Once I was done giving Billy a tip for the flower I headed to their museums they were crazy beautiful I couldn't believe how great they were. then next day when I went out it was so beautiful I asked some people what this is and the told me that it's the Feria de las Flores parade where "silleteros" display their flowers in colorful and beautiful arrangements. its true they did show so beautiful flowers that I couldn't believe that were real. But of course my trip had to end and so I got back onto the plane and flew back home and told my friends and family like always about my adventure.

Even though I had a lot of fun in Medellin. My trip had to end but after a month or so. I went on another trip to Cartagena the food was so good there I couldn't believe how good it was something that I tried was Viudas its a meat dish with boiled vegetables. The restaurant I went to was El Santisimo but that's not the only thing I did. While I was on the plane I did a little reading and that I found out that they have some of the biggest festivals so I had to go see one and see how important and great it was so I went to the film festival. Which it said that it  is an important event where films from all over the world are showcased for two weeks in February. Well when I got to the film festival they were right even the building was beautiful. It was amazing though seeing all the films but I didn't like all of them but we can keep that between us. After I got done with looking at all films I went on a walk around and the buildings there were so colorful and some of the places I walked were the houses and all of them were connected from one street to the other it was crazy and they were pretty tall apartments or houses. Looking at all the places it remind me of a movie called "Columbiana" probably because its starts in Columbia and has a lot of houses like that. But my trip had to end it was really fun and I made a few friends but what stinks about the whole trip was I got sick. I got the flu somehow so I was sick for about a week or so but my sister took care of me. But then I got her sick and now she has the flu I thought it was pretty funny but not to her.

I finally decided to go on one more trip that in Columbia and you must be asking how I get the money for the trips I go on. Well my sister she works for Alaska airline and so I do stuff for her for exchanged of a ticket. so yah thee next place i'm going to is the amazon region/rainforest. I've heard a lot about that amazing like all the animals and that there's little huts. I couldn't believe that there actually was that amazing stiff there. I want on a trip through the amazon region there were so many animals like tigers, monkeys, birds, and etc.. It was so fun I got to go swimming with some of my new friends its was so fun. We go to jump from a high rock were a water fall was it was pretty scary but exciting to jump  that far from the cliff to the water I couldn't believe how fun it was. Once we were don we went to a restaurant and the food was pretty good and the restaurant was so pretty. But that was just some things I did in /at the amazon region.

My Trip to Chile (Taiya B.)

Taiya B.

My trip to Chile was amazing! All the views were just outstanding! I did so many things, like go to Easter Island, see the El Tatio Geysers, or even watch the sun set in the valley of the moon! In the next three paragraphs I'm going to talk about Valle de la Luna, Easter Island, and the El Tatio Geysers.

First, i'm going to talk about Easter Island. What you do at Easter Island is take a four day tour around. on the first day, you get your hotel and then go traveling around part of the island and go horseback riding, ziplining, and scuba diving all while seeing new things! Then, the next day you get to have a full day tour on the Moai route which has all kinds of things! On the third day, you go to the Kao Volcano and explore its deep craters! On the last day, you head back home.

The next thing I did was go watch the sun set at Valle de la Luna! It was definitely an unforgettable experience. What happens is when you are watching the sun set under the horizon, there are rings of pinks, purples, and golds forming in the sky from the volcanos! It is just amazing!

The last thing that I did was go see the El Tatio Geysers! They were really cool and steaming hot! Its not the largest field of geysers but its the third! the best time to go see then is at 6:00 and dress in layers and closed toe shoes! it may be a little cold at first but whenyou get back in your car, you will be steaming hot!

Peru

Last Summer Break I went to the country of Peru, and this year I am really wanting to go back. I had so many great adventures in my visit and learned a lot about the Inca culture. I never knew how much you could learn about a country in such a short time.

One of the most memorable parts of the trip was The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Even though it was a really hard hike there we all got to the end of it and roamed through one of the most breathtaking towns. There was so much to do in Machu Picchu, that I sort of got overwhelmed.  We went on this tour of the town that led us through all of the ancient ruins. Including Ollantaytambo, "In 1536, this settlement was the site if the Incas greatest military victory over the invading Spaniards." http://septmerveillesdumonde.com/machupicchu/

Another fun memory I made in Peru was when I surfed at Cabo Blanco and Lobitos. The waves were huge, but I have never surfed before so I started out close to shore. And gradually moved farther out. But good thing that there were people to help me because I probably would have fallen.

I think my favorite part was when we went to Gouta Waterfall. The water was so warm and so clear. we swam all day and later went walking through the great scenery that surrounds it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gocta_Cataracts

all in all Peru is a great place to travel and there are many things to do. I had a great time and I hope that some day you can go.
